Manu is an instructor in the mechanical engineering program at Western Kentucky University, USA. He received Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Sciences from the University of New Orleans. His research areas include Thermal-Fluid systems, CFD, FSI, Energy conversions, and HVAC systems. Over the course of 10 years, he has been offering key contributions to the mechanical engineering field through ongoing research, articles in leading publications, departmental leadership, student advising, and curriculum planning for the next generation of brilliant engineers and researchers. He is experienced in teaching Thermodynamics (I & II), Fluid Mechanics (Lecture and Lab), Gas Dynamics, Heat Transfer (Lecture and Lab), Principles of Systems Engineering, Internal Combustion Engines, Turbomachinery, Electrical Circuits, Materials Science, Mechanical Control Systems (lecture and Lab), and supervising research projects. He is passionate about teaching and very enthusiastic about helping students. His primary goal as an Instructor is to enable the students to better understand the integration between theoretical and practical applications. For this reason, he emphasizes a full-dimensional learning strategy through demonstrations, simulations/animations, and laboratory exercises in his teaching philosophy.
