Gerrit Cramer currently works for SGS, the world's leading inspection, testing, verification and certification company. There, he is responsible for the mechanical safety of consumer products to be sold on the German market, advising customers in this regard and leading product tests. As part of this, he works closely with Chinese manufacturers.

Previously, he worked in the field of manufacturing processes for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, which is the largest organization for applied research and development services in Europe. There he advanced the development of an innovative material and researched new findings in the field of additive manufacturing

He originally discovered his enthusiasm for teaching and the great Chinese culture while working as a tutor in Qingdao and has since taught at various Chinese universities.
